NO Drifting or Donuts on the Lake Bed

Please remember that drifting and donuts are prohibited on El Mirage dry lake bed.

Although the lake bed has some smooth areas, there are cracks, potholes, and whoops. You may travel straight as fast as you want, but any turning motion you must slow down. You can be fined if you are caught drifting or doing donuts. When vehicles drift or perform donuts on the lake bed, it damages the surface which can be exacerbated by rain and wind and lead to dangerous conditions for those traveling at high speeds.
